The EU and China have concluded in principle the negotiations for a Comprehensive Agreement on Investment (CAI). China has committed to a greater level of market access for EU investors than ever before, including some new important market openings. China is also making commitments to ensure fair treatment for EU companies so they can compete on a better level playing field in China, including in terms of disciplines for state owned enterprises, transparency of subsidies and rules against the forced transfer of technologies.

The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is the first dedicated import exhibition in the world. It is a historic opportunity for companies from around the world who can introduce themselves to the Chinese market and explore opportunities for local cooperation. The CIIE 2020 attracted nearly 400,000 visitors and $72.6 billion worth of intended deals were signed at the event. The CIIE 2021 will be held in Shanghai from Nov.5th to 10th, 2021, featuring six business exhibition areas: food and agricultural products, automobiles, intelligent industry and information technology, consumer goods, medical equipment and healthcare products, and trade in services.

Join us to understand how European businesses can benefit from the CAI and know more about numerous opportunities presented by CIIE 2021 in this ENRICH in China webinar on March 17th!
