Fully integrated Digital Single Market (DSM) would unlock immense new opportunities for the digital economy, facilitate digital transformation, strengthen EU’s industrial leadership, stimulate competitiveness in the global market and produce wider benefits to member states’ economies and citizens.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To reap those benefits the EU must rapidly move from commitments to actions. Only concerted steps on both EU and national levels to upgrade infrastructure, improve skills and come-up with smart, future-proof regulatory environment could make Europe a front-running continent.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

How do we energize efforts to make DSM a reality? Is there a way to reduce existing differences among member states in readiness and willingness to embrace technological change? With these questions in mind, Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the EU and the Lithuanian Business Representation to the EU organize a seminar “EU Digital Single Market: From Commitments to Front-Running”.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The seminar will be kicked-off by the Lithuanian Government’s CIO and Deputy Minister of Economy Mr Elijus Čivilis who will share his views on the most enabling digital policy choices, showcasing the country’s jump through the ranks of the fastest growing innovators and particularly rapid progress in the fields of blockchain and e-services. A panel discussion involving European Commission, government, business and think-tank representatives will follow.<\/p>\n
