Date - 17/01/2022 - 20/01/2022
Sweden Innovation Days is a free four day, global digital event, dedicated to fostering international collaboration. We aim to attract collaboration partners with clear and actionable missions within innovation to work across sectors in order to create a more sustainable world.
The United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals) provide an informative overview of how to improve environmental, economic and social sustainability. Innovation and international collaboration are key to creating a long-term positive change in relation to the Global Goals.
This change cannot occur without including a wide range of actors which is why this event aims to bring together representatives from government agencies, academia, private corporations, public organizations, civil society, startups and intermediaries to share their knowledge and actively work together towards new projects.
The goal of this conference is to inspire and exchange knowledge on how we can work in a more mission oriented way as well as mobilising towards system innovation. We will move beyond the theoretical and present practical methods as well as success cases on how to achieve this. Each day will have a key thematic focus.
Day 1: Missions to achieve the Global Goals
Exploring both theoretical and practical ways to develop mission-oriented innovation at a global, regional and local level.
Day 2: Preventative health & wellbeing
Promoting measures that help all people to stay physically and mentally healthy.
Day 3: Co-creation for innovation
Sharing tools to innovate in the broadest sense and create inclusive and democratic societies.
Day 4: Climate neutral cities
Building sustainable, just and carbon neutral cities with real action and greener investments.
An interactive hybrid event
The event is organised by Vinnova – Sweden’s Innovation Agency together with Energimyndigheten – the Swedish Energy Agency, Ignite Sweden and AI Sweden and will primarily take place in a digital capacity on the platform, Intrado. You also have the opportunity to meet us at the Swedish pavilion “The Forest” during the world exhibition in Dubai between 17-20 January 2022.
The digital programme will consist of actors from every aspect of the Swedish innovation ecosystem. Together we will offer a platform for digital meetings such as workshops, fireside chats, networking, knowledge sharing and matchmaking sessions as well as practical information about future network and funding opportunities.
On the digital mainstage, we will feature key experts, case studies and go beyond the theoretical to explore practical ways innovation can address today’s biggest sustainability challenges. This will then be followed by workshops and fireside chats to take an even deeper dive into the important topics covered on the digital mainstage.
Learn more about the Global Goals
This year’s theme centres around the changes we need to make in order to reach the Global Goals. Increasing awareness of these 17 goals is essential to ensure we promote innovation in an environmentally, economically and socially sustainable way.
