Space-based R&D and Innovation: Opportunities in the New Funding Period

Date/Time
Date - 12/05/2021
10:00 - 12:00

The New Space has an important role to play in the development of new technologies and applications enabling full realization of the industry’s potential. Europe’s innovators together with supporting institutions are ready to play the leading role in this sector.

We are indeed at the dawn of the new financial period in Europe and it is not easy to navigate through the numerous options, especially for startups and SMEs. There is a wide degree of diversity and complexity among policies, programs, rules, competent authorities and implementing bodies (no “one-stop-shop”). EU Space Program, Horizon Europe, InvestEU, European Defence Fund, European Investment Fund and other initiatives will give many opportunities to develop R&D and innovation activities in the space domain. The aim of this on-line event is to bring some clarity and structured information on several concrete measures and funding possibilities.

Lithuania is becoming an active player in the European space activities and we expect to become an associate member of ESA by the end of this year. During this webinar, you will have the opportunity to learn about Lithuania’s New Space players’ success stories that will illustrate different opportunities presented by EU programs.
