Webinars I and II: Korea and Canada

Korea: 11:00-12:00 CET on 5 February | Canada: 15:00-16:00 CET on 12 February

On July 3, 2024, the Government of Canada and the European Commission signed an agreement that allows for Canada’s enhanced participation in Horizon Europe under Pillar 2.

As of January 1, 2025, the Republic of Korea has joined the Horizon Europe Programme.

The European Commission now recognises Canada and the Republic of Korea as associated country partners to Horizon Europe Pillar II and welcomes their researchers and organizations to participate in 2025 project calls onwards.

Associations play a pivotal role in fostering international collaboration within Horizon Europe by bridging research efforts between these nations and the EU. Researchers and institutions will have numerous opportunities to engage in joint research projects that leverage shared strengths and expertise.

Webinar III: EU-Africa research collaborations

10:00-11:30 CET on 6 March

The third part of the series is dedicated to the collaboration with African partners.

African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) and The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities launched twenty-one Africa – Europe Clusters of Research Excellence (CoRE) to address societal and scientific challenges framed by the AU-EU Innovation Agenda. These initiatives enhance research collaboration between African and European stakeholders.
