Cluster 2 researchers’ networking event on 20 November in Brussels

What, where & when:

On 20 November 2025, LINO office, together with Slovak, Austrian, Italian, Polish, Spanish, Latvian, Czech and French offices, is organising a networking event in Brussels for researchers working with Cluster 2 of “Horizon Europe” (Culture, creativity & inclusive society).

SSH researchers from all 9 organising countries are expected to attend, as well as researchers from the Netherlands, the UK, Germany.

Programme:

As the event poster above indicates, this time we will be focussing on the topics of media, migration and education.

We will be looking into all 3 destinations of Cl. 2 of “Horizon Europe” work programme for 2026-2027 (the latest draft of the latter should soon be published on the European Commission’s Comitology Register), and into its various calls focussing on the above mentioned topics.

Participants of the event can expect to:

  • hear insights from the European Commission on Cl.2 policies;
  • get advice from national contact points (NCPs) on how to prepare successful research grant applications;
  • have a chance to briefly present their own work and partnerships sought in a pitching session and 1:1 meetings;
  • find international partners from other “Horizon Europe” countries for joint research projects.

On the same day, after our event, those who will be interested will have a chance to participate in the Netherlands’ office (Neth-ER) networking conference taking part in the evening.

We are planning to publish the full programme of our event on this page in autumn.

Registration:

We have spaces available for 5-6 participants from each organising country, including Lithuania.

We invite Lithuania-based researchers who are interested to participate to get in touch with us via email agne.drumelyte@lmt.lt, briefly introducing themselves and their past/current/planned research topics as well as briefly describing the partnerships they would like to start with researchers from other “Horizon Europe” countries.

There might be a possibility for research managers to attend this event too; however (in the case of having more interested participants than we have available spaces) we are likely to give priority to researchers working on media, migration and education topics.

Participants who are willing to do brief (a few mins) presentations about themselves during the event’s pitching session are particularly welcome. 😊

We expect to select participants from all the attending countries by September – we look forward to your application already during this summer!
