Innovation is as never before vital component of the European competitiveness in the global economy. Therefore, discussions on the most effective and future-proof Innovation policy are gaining momentum in the EU and its Member States’ agendas. Thanks to recent ambitious reforms of Lithuania’s innovation system and the changing culture favoring more risk-taking, visibility of Lithuania’s R&D and innovation is growing on the EU level and globally. This half-day event will be dedicated to taking a closer look at a number of outstanding showcases: from the perspective of a start-up and more established R&D-intensive enterprise to the local support system and global network. Lessons learned and remaining challenges for each of the segment will be highlighted and discussed with a prominent panel, strongly focusing on the perspectives for the EU’s future research and innovation policies.
